ABOUT RICHARD LIEBRECHT
We\'re witnessing a product management revolution: AI-backed product managers can take an idea from concept to validation, even shipped value, in weeks. I\'m staying at the forefront developing concrete skills in vibe coding, rapid customer validation and risk management with AI.At the same time, what I’ve learned from 8+ years of building products, programs and business strategies still applies:(.)It may feel less “productive” than the product, but it’s the only way to avoid the frustration and rework associated with shipping mediocre products. Here are some wins from my teams and me spending more time in customer discovery: Earned buy-in to run an experiment that validated the impact of a first-in-market referrals automation program and shipped feature to production @ Jobber Led Jobber’s first Google partnership and API integration @ Jobber Got pre-seed funding for a startup I founded to use GraphAI to uncover referral & relationship-building opportunities within Salesforce data @ Ally Engine Accelerated team delivery speed from multi-month preparation to shipping from concept within a month while launching a top-requested feature that achieved a 4.8/5 user rating @ Jane.appWellnessLiving: Created 0-to-1 strategy and planning for a new wellness marketplace app while redesigning organization-wide roadmapping and product discovery processes @ WellnessLivingWhen I’m not knee-deep in customer discovery, you may find me sipping on my current favourite whiskey: Two Brewers from Whitehorse. 🥃Hit connect if you want to chat about customer discovery, design sprints or product management in general - or debate whether a product roadmap should look like a Gantt chart (note: I think we can do better)
