ABOUT RICHARD HOLLIDAY

I\'m a business advisor, trainer and mentor specialising in research commercialisation and supporting entrepreneurial researchers and technology ventures so they thrive. For 30+ years I have helped universities, researchers, investors and entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of research commercialisation, so that more research outputs can positively impact society. My expertise includes: Research Commercialisation – Idea development, PoC funding, business plans, investment. Intellectual Property – Licensing, negotiating, and building robust IP strategies. Mentoring & Training – Developing TTO staff and delivering entrepreneurship programmes for researchers. Business Creation & Development – Co-founding and building new ventures.I bring a unique blend of experience, having worked in corporate R&D, leading Technology Transfer Office (TTO) teams, co-founding and managing spinout businesses, and backing new ventures as a corporate investor. So I understand, and can navigate, the different perspectives, challenges and rewards that come with the commercialisation process.Today, my focus is on helping others develop new ideas & technologies into income-generating products and services. I help translate science into practical solutions, with sector expertise across advanced materials, chemistry, manufacturing, engineering and environmental sustainability. My work supports those seeking to bring a commercially focused approach to research commercialisation that delivers impact.I\'m always happy to connect and discuss new opportunities.
