ABOUT RICHARD HUYNH
Richard has just returned from 14 months of travelling, most of which was spent on a one year Working Holiday visa based in Melbourne, Australia where he was a Financial Accountant at a clinical trial research company. He was responsible for performing month-end closing procedures, liasing with external auditors and supporting the accounts payable and receivable functions.Prior to that, Richard has spent over four years in a professional environment at two medium-sized public accounting firms: BDO LLP and RLB LLP. At both firms, he performed various accounting, assurance, taxation and consulting services for private clients of various industries, including real estate, professional services, trucking, owner-managed and not-for-profit.At his previous role at RLB LLP as a Senior Accountant, Richard was responsible for leading assurance engagements, preparing financial statements, managing Canadian individual tax returns and acting as a Controller for a couple of clients.Richard Huynh graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Master\'s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting and Financial Management. He passed the CPA Common Final Examination (CFE) in September 2015 and placed on the 52-member National Honour Roll for top marks. Richard obtained the CPA, CA (Canada) designation in April 2017.
