As a Delivery Lead within Defra’s AI Enablement team, I am leading the rollout of a pilot program designed to lower the barrier to entry for AI adoption in software delivery.Key Contributions:SDLC Integration: Partnering with pilot teams to embed AI into their software development lifecycles, removing technical and process blockers to accelerate delivery.Insight Generation: Monitoring pilot progress to produce AI SDLC insights that inform the direction and governance of wider Defra rollout.Community & Capability Building: Established an AI SDLC community to share reusable assets—including prompts, agents, and workflows—fostering a culture of collective learning and efficiency.Knowledge Enablement: Developing a suite of profession specific \"self-serve\" resources, including guides, playbooks, and training materials, to support AI adoption.Engagement: Driving momentum for AI initiatives through community sessions and brown bags, ensuring cross-functional alignment and stakeholder buy-in.

ABOUT RICHARD HOLLOWAY
I am a delivery lead for Equal Experts, leading an agile team of platform engineers making improvements to a major UK retailer\'s path to production.Previously, I worked for many years in banking technology, successfully delivering projects for major institutions including HSBC, the RBS Group, State Street and Deutsche Bank. I am an Agile exponent and evangelist with experience of running development using Scrum, Lean and Kanban tools. I have been responsible for the adoption of these practices in many of my recent roles and then using them to successfully deliver products. I blog regularly at and have given a number of talks to project management groups.I have a great deal of experience of managing and coordinating teams both locally and globally, best illustrated when I moved to India for a year to build an technology team whilst at RBS.Outside of work, I have built a set of iOS educational apps, available in the iTunes App store. I am currently working on my first tvOS app.
