About Richard Gross

I have always had a passion for computers and coding and a love of technology. My programming experience began in 1983 on an Apple IIe. I was in junior high school. After earning my bachelor’s degree, I spent time operating my own business creating custom database applications for the publishing industry.For more than 20 years, I worked for a major nonprofit and oversaw supervising, organizing, and maintaining five association websites, as well as the social media presence for the organization. I worked successfully with a very broad range of people, from accountants to artists and from business owners to potential clients of member businesses. I am very proud that I was able to organize and present huge amounts of data to the targeted end users in such a way that it was understandable and accessible to them.In 2015, I decided to pursue software development full time. I gained new skills and updated others through Centriq’s.Net Application Developer program. Upon completion of the program, I went to work at Grantham University as an Application Developer. After approximately 14 months at Grantham, I was promoted to Software Developer II and put in charge of several software development programs, including a major, custom student relationship manager and an API to manage and document the school\'s text communications efforts.When the university adopted Salesforce, I was given the opportunity to develop both custom applications and integrations in C# and to be an administrator and developer for the Salesforce effort. I completed many Salesforce Trailheads and used the coding knowledge I already had to create a complete ticketing system for tracking interactions with students, including degree changes, course registration, student issues, and much more.
