ABOUT RICHARD GORE

I am a partner in Dispute Resolution at Temple Bright.I act for companies, directors and shareholders in relation to a wide range of commercial disputes, including director misfeasance, shareholder (or unfair prejudice) claims and contractual disputes with other companies or individuals.I also deal with contentious commercial landlord and tenant disputes. I am described in legal directories as \"extremely practical, totally unflappable and deals with the pressures of litigation exceptionally well” and as someone with “the perfect balance of seriousness and commerciality. He wants first and foremost to resolve disputes but if you can\'t, he\'s ready to roll his sleeves up and fight. He\'s a good person to work with.” I trained as a solicitor at London firm Vizards, before working for 20 years at Gregg Latchams, a well-respected law firm in Bristol and was a partner at top 60 law firm Shakespeare Martineau immediately before joining Temple Bright in 2024.Temple Bright promises commercially relevant advice direct from partners. Our team is composed exclusively of senior lawyers with a background in the UK’s leading firms. These partners will work closely with you, and with each other, to achieve your aims. Because we are all experienced lawyers who advise in person without delegation, we can offer you a higher level of service with greater efficiency than traditional firms.I am an Accredited Commercial Mediator (non-practising) and a member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers’ Association (PNLA).Reported cases: Otto & Ors v Inner Mongolia Happy Lamb Catering Management Company Ltd & Ors [2023] EWHC 2920 (Ch)- acting for the Petitioners on a cost assessment arising from an injunction applicationBank of Scotland Plc v Hoskins [2023] EWHC 306 (Ch)- acting for the Defendant in a long running dispute with the bankEI Group Plc v John Clarke & Lesley Minnett [2020] EWHC 1858 (Ch)- acting for a pub tenant in successfully opposing the pub company\'s challenge of the PCA AdjudicatorOysterware Limited v Intentor Limited & Others [2020] EWHC 2125 (Ch)- acting for the Defendant in successfully defeating an application summary judgment on a claim for infringement of software copyrightJefferson & Others v Bailey & Others [2011] EWHC 92 (QB) and [2012] EWCA Civ 328 (Court of Appeal) involving a a dispute between shareholders in a property development company
