About Richard Goldsmith

Richard Goldsmith is a prominent leader in the television and family entertainment industries who has led media distribution, licensing and merchandising and business development for major brands at companies including The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Entertainment, The Jim Henson Company and Univision Communications. In February 2026, he joined the leadership of Blue Ant Media as Executive Vice President, Kids & Family Sales and Brands, for Blue Ant Rights. In 2021, Richard joined the leadership of Thunderbird Entertainment and Atomic Cartoons to oversee global media distribution, consumer products, direct-to-consumer platforms and brand marketing for the company’s reality, scripted and animated productions. He also sourced ands acquired third-party content to manage and distribute. He has been selling original series and library content to direct-to-consumer platforms such as YouTube, Netflix, HBO Max and Hulu since their early days, and has been a major supplier of content to traditional television platforms worldwide for decades such as PBS, Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Discovery, France TV, KiKA and Super RTL Germany, ABC Australia, and CCTV China. He and his team also oversee the licensing, merchandising and marketing of the company\'s intellectual properties, providing a diversified operation to establish global brands. Richard is a hands-on leader who empowers multiple teams to advance company initiatives on a global basis. Richard was an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern California\'s School of Cinematic Arts for nearly 8 years and has lectured at the University of Pennsylvania, UCLA, Syracuse University, Otis College of Art and Design and others.
