ABOUT RICHARD GILBERT
I\'m a working-class English/Kiwi from a council estate in greater London who migrated to New Zealand in 2002. After 22 years here with my two young sons, I\'ve built numero® into one of New Zealand\'s fastest-growing marketing agencies. My journey started as a telesales agent 13 years ago, progressing through sales management to founding numero® in August 2016 with one mission: make numbers matter for businesses. I\'ve generated over £15 million in signed sales contracts, project-managed hundreds of websites, and been responsible for millions of dollars in client ad spend across Google and Meta. What drives me is seeing the untapped potential everywhere I look. The numbers I\'ve achieved are just a drop in the ocean compared to what\'s possible.I\'ve trained 14 salespeople from scratch, with 6 becoming six-figure earners. My approach draws from being trained by Lisa Parnis from Google, plus insights from Grant Cardone, Brian Tracy, Robert Kiyosaki, and Chris Voss.At numero®, our goal is simple: become Australasia\'s most trusted marketing agency known for delivering massive results. As CEO, I\'ve led us through a pandemic, recession, and cultural change whilst scaling up. I\'ve conceptualised our rebrand, built scaleable systems, and created a hybrid in-house/international production team from scratch.Currently, I\'m focused on integrating AI to reduce admin time and increase human creativity for client servicing – a massive opportunity I\'m excited about.I believe humans can achieve anything they put their minds to and take action on. We\'re responsible for our own output, and the reward is where the risk is. I\'m passionate about helping newcomers to our industry, so if you\'re starting out, feel free to get in touch. Teaching is a great way to learn.Recognition: Deloitte Fast 50 finalist (2022), 2degrees Business Awards finalist for Excellence in Strategy and Planning (2023).
