I joined Adonis Blue Environmental Consultants as an Ecologist in 2024. Carrying out surveys in Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Somerset. Providing Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) for Kent Wildlife Trust projects including the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve Visitor centre, Blean Bison Tunnel project. a Hitoric water feature restoration project and a historic village pond restoration and wildlife enhancement project.

ABOUT RICHARD F.

I\'m an ecologist and Ecological Clerk of Works at Adonis Blue Environmental Consultants. I have Dyslexia. Eleven years\' experience in the ecology profession. I have worked on development and infrastructure projects ranging from private to public sectors of varied sizes and scope. Habitat restoration projects, wildlife restoration projects. Projects for land managers, local communities, planners, architects and developers. I have practice in ecological field surveys following UK habitats classification method. I have practice in protected species surveys for reptiles, birds, amphibians, bats badger and dormouse. I have written ecological reports in line with CIEEM guidelines and the new habitat regulations. I have put together documents contributing to BREEAM assessments. I have reviewed ecology reports written by colleagues. Prior to working full time, I was working as an ecological field surveyor on a seasonal basis working with ecology consultancies including Land Use Consultants, Keystone Environmental and, Bakerwell and Greenspace Ecological Solutions. I was involved with seasonal work for around two years.Prior to and during my work with consultancies on a seasonal basis I carried out volunteer work with Kent Wildlife Trust carrying out habitat management at Hothfield Common and The Warren and Natural England. Carrying out habitat management within The Kent Downs which I was involved with for around two years.My academic training is a BSc (Hons) in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from Sparsholt College and University Centre. Part of and Accredited by The University of Portsmouth. While at University I had the opportunity to travel and assist with international conservation efforts which took me to both South Africa and the island of Sulawesi Indonesia.My accreditations include, Conservation and Ecology (BSc Hons ) Full UK driving license (DSA) First Aid at work (HSE)Working At Height (IHasco) Construction Skills Certificate Scheme Operatives Card (CSCS) Great Crested Newt Licence (NE) I am working towards a qualifying CIEEM membership and Ecological Clerk of Works Certification.My interests include, The natural world, wildlife, birds, reptiles, heathlands, open mosaic habitats, conservation, architecture specifically historic architecture, sustainability, rewilding brownfield areas, green infrastructure and design.My hobbies include, exploration of abandoned places, Jujitsu, Capoeira, reading, watching and talking films, listening to and talking music and tabletop board and card games.
