ABOUT RICHARD ENO
I’ve spent the last 26 years immersed in creative education — leading, teaching, and constantly re-imagining how young people can discover their voices through music, film, and media. Currently Programme Director of Music, I also teach media and film, blending practice with theory, and helping students explore not just technical skills but the human condition at the heart of all great art. My journey began in Folkestone, shaped by study in Winchester, and has taken me into leadership roles where I’ve driven change across creative, digital, and innovative education. I’ve led teams, designed new curricula, and built creative departments with a vision: to prepare students for futures that don’t yet exist. What motivates me is a belief in radical education — shaking up the status quo, questioning orthodoxies, and challenging the idea that education should be passive or standardised. Instead, I champion spaces where young people take risks, fail boldly, and build resilience alongside their creativity. I’m not just an educator — I’m a cultural agitator who thrives on developing new ideas, testing the boundaries of what a college can be, and inspiring staff and students alike to think bigger. Whether through a new film project, a reimagined media studio, or an inter-college competition, I believe in education that excites, unsettles, and ultimately transforms. If you’re passionate about creative education, radical ideas, and the future of young people in a changing world, we’ll have a lot to talk about.
