Former Professor of Exercise Physiology and Head of Transnational Education & Mobility at the University of the West of Scotland, with a strong track record in curriculum design, international partnerships and staff/student mobility.Now focused on remote consultancy and project-based work that combines higher education strategy, internationalisation, research and knowledge transfer, and modern knowledge management for academic and coaching environments. Current interests include strengthening TNE portfolios, supporting research bidding and publication pipelines, and mentoring academic and professional staff.Host and co-creator of the Cycling Science Podcast, translating cutting-edge cycling research into clear, practical take-home messages for coaches and riders, and providing a key platform for future knowledge-translation work in cycling performance.In cycling, known for research on the determinants of cycling performance and extensive experience as a coach and coach educator with national and international bodies.
