Currently, I have been leading projects supporting the NASA JSC data center and the External Relations Office. Projects I’ve led included implementing Agile development techniques for our Salesforce development team improving the quality of our products and services, simultaneously upgrading and migrating JSC’s SharePoint collaboration service to the AWS cloud, maturing JSC’s APPDAT (GitLab and Kubernetes) zero trust architecture (ZTA) in the Google cloud to securely share ISS telemetry with Partners that may not have NASA credentials, and modernizing the JSC Public Web Seat service to existing and new technologies. I am also pioneering new concepts like technical variance and the quantification and qualification of unplanned work to enhance status reporting. Recently, I am leading several projects to migrate our on-premises SharePoint system to the GovCloud, migrate our ITSM from BMC Remedy to ServiceNow, procure several different sized scale models of the International Space Station (ISS) and several Procurement related initiatives including identifying all property on the contract. Previously, I led large IT projects for NASA as a Project Manager and provided various levels of Systems Engineering across the various disciplines, including server, storage, middleware, database and applications development and support. We successfully completed a large physical server obsolescence effort, Remedy and ColdFusion upgrades, a Consolidated Logging System hardware upgrade involving Splunk, and a 10Gb backend network upgrade and migration. The end of FY activities included Task Order planning for the next FY, which is always a challenge when you are working projects at the same time. Since only two of the three Project Team Award Nominations I submitted were formally accepted, I created and presented my own award.
