About Richard Rick Boardman

I run product Accessibility at Zendesk. I am a people and program leader, dedicated to developing high quality, inclusive technology. I have 10+ years experience in people and program leadership at Google, Salesforce and Zendesk, where I’ve led world-class teams and programs in Product Accessibility, UX Research and Engineering. I’ve also worn IC hats in all 3 roles, advised a large number of startups, and received a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction along the way.I enjoy bringing my cross-functional experience and a pragmatic approach to new challenges, in order to drive success and strategic decisions within complex practical constraints. I have a proven track record of doing this in many areas of technology ranging from consumer applications through to B2B and B2C enterprise tools, across both mobile and web.My management philosophy is one of “servant leadership” to help my teams do the best work of their careers, and then grow beyond that. I strive to wear a learning hat at all times so I can improve as a leader and develop new skills.
