One of the most unique things I bring to work is an entrepreneurial spirit. The bulk of my experience has been starting, growing, and selling my own businesses. This means I approach work differently because I understand what it is like to rise and fall with a company. I take more care with each decision because I remember that feeling of it being my own money, my own future, my own success or failure.Yes, I said failure. While my businesses have largely been successful, not every idea is a homerun. Failure has become a bad word in business, but it shouldn\'t be. A miss shows you where the boundaries are; it helps you the next time you take a swing.when you fail you also figure out how to succeed. I take this to work every day and instill it in those around me. If we pool our collective successes and failures, we will have the best chance of developing a great product, or generating buzz, or, the ultimate goal, making money.During my career, I\'ve tried lots of things and seen lots of things tried, so I know how to succeed, whether that means knowing what will resonate with customers or assessing a market\'s potential or knowing great vendors. I have a track record of leading organizations using evidence-based risk taking, high standards of excellence, and active leadership that champions equity, empowerment, and accountability. I love working with my staff, helping sales, driving customer satisfaction, bringing different departments together to brainstorm solutions so we can create a sustainable platform for growth.
