Richard Hooper is an experienced Technology and Financial Markets professional, with extensive experience in accelerating shareholder value across the technology ecosystem. His experience covers all stages of business growth and includes both private and public ownership structures. He has deep expertise in M&A, from valuation to negotiations as well as in capital formation across both debt and equity. Richard is globally versed. He holds degrees from both the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. His educational credentials include studies in Economics, Finance, Management Information Systems, Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. Prior to his MBA, Richard’s experience was a mix of structured finance, management/strategy, IT, and launching a tech start-up. After completing his MBA, he began his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers. His blue-chip background also includes management roles at Barclays Capital and RBC Capital Markets. Today, he is a Managing Partner and Co-head of Clipperton US, based in New York. He is passionate about driving innovation and growth in the technology industry, and enjoys working with and mentoring talented and diverse teams to achieve shared goals. Richard has advised Boards of global technology enterprises on strategic alternatives, corporate finance activities, and enterprise risk management.
