About Richard Thompson

Public sector manager continually driving success and results with a history of efficiency in public policy, marketing, business development, legislative, legal research and regulation compliance. While working for the City of Long Branch, Richard has successfully achieved the prestigious Silver Status for Sustainable Jersey for the City of Long Branch, and strategized and revitalized the Shop Long Branch program, a property tax credit program, to further economic development within the city\'s urban enterprise zone. Additionally, he had the opportunity to establish, manage, and execute the city\'s first-ever Summer Youth Internship Program that saw sixteen high achieving students from the city intern with various departments in the city government to gain experience for potential future careers. Richard continues to strive for excellence not only at work but in his local community as well. He is a dedicated volunteer with Kiwanis International, serving the children of the world. Richard has also held various positions within his community, he was appointed to the zoning board in Neptune, NJ in 2022 and works as a small business owner providing municipal marketing services, and commercial and real estate photography/videography.
