I am an environmental, sustainability and biodiversity specialist with over 11 years’ experience delivering pragmatic, innovative and outcome‑focused solutions across major infrastructure, international development, and conservation projects.In my current role as Environment & Sustainability Manager for the Sizewell C Civil Works Alliance, I am responsible for Expanded\'s (Laing O\'Rourke) environmental strategy implementation across one of the UK’s largest infrastructure programmes. My work spans carbon accounting, ISO 14001 compliance, environmental auditing, and the monitoring and management of ESG performance. I provide technical leadership to delivery teams and subcontractors, manage environmental and sustainability risks, oversee audit and inspection programmes, and ensure robust regulatory and contractual compliance. Working alongside senior leadership, I drive continuous improvement, mentor a team of advisors, champion innovation, and use data-driven insights to guide action plans and embed best practice across complex civil engineering works.Previously, I served as Technical Manager of Ecology at Sweco, where I led a team of 12 specialists delivering biodiversity impact assessments, natural capital assessments, BNG strategies, international biodiversity work, and project management across both UK and global assignments. My experience includes alignment with international financial institution standards such as IFC PS6 and EIB Standard 2, as well as ESRD E4-compliant assessments. I was responsible for technical leadership, tender production, client engagement, internal systems development, and KPI management, while shaping company-wide processes to strengthen ecological and sustainability delivery. I also contributed to development of TNFD-aligned services, applying tools such as IBAT, ENCORE and the STAR methodology.Across my career, I’ve built deep cross-sector expertise in biodiversity, sustainability and environmental management, enabling me to integrate scientific rigour with practical delivery. I am driven by a commitment to high performance, collaborative problem‑solving, and embedding nature-positive and sustainable solutions into major projects.
