Key Responsibilities• Managed a diverse team of staff from scientific to non-scientific roles, responsible for their appraisals, recruitment and performance management• Initially employed to assist during a multi-million-pound transformation across Pathology and contract extended to permanent• Responsible for the operational delivery for the Trust\'s OPAT service including business case submissions • Leading the operational guidance for the introduction of a new Molecular Diagnostics Hub in Royal Hampshire Country Hospital, requiring commercial • Line manager for the Essential Services Lab across two sites who are responsible for COVID and general molecular testing Key Achievements• Operational lead of introducing Lumira POCT COVID testing devices into the Trust resulting in a reduced turnaround time by up to 2 hours per swab, reduced annual testing costs by £720k, and reduced annual staffing costs by £485k• Successful in securing funding to establish the Molecular Diagnostics Hub as a permanent service, resulting in commercial revenue generated for the Trust, along with outbreak sequencing performed in-house. • Helped build the OPAT team including recruitment of Band 6 and 7 nurses and integrate this new service into already established departments of the hospital liaising with senior clinicians of various wards, resulting in 768 bed days saved since December 22• Managed the transition of supplier change within the laboratory for media plates, requiring validation, storage review and CPW submissions, resulting in an annual saving of £21k.• Completed the Mary Seacole Leadership and Development Programme, along with PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner Project Manager certification
