About Richard W.
I believe that AI tech can transform computing literacy education. I found maka.AI to empower the workforce of the next generation and cultivate leaders for future computing systems. I work as an advisor for MIT’s Schwarzman College of Computing and was a visiting fellow at the MIT Sloan of Management, focusing on entrepreneurship and applying AI/ML to businesses. I mentor MBA and MS students at MIT and other schools in the Boston area. I am a co-founder of Veritas Education and BranchOut.Veritas Education, founded in 2010, is an education institution that provides holistic education to students with offices in DC/MD/VA, NY/NJ, and Boston. BranchOut, founded in 2015, is a community service program focused on promoting STEAM education for students in underserved communities in the main metro areas on the East Coast. BranchOut! rallies support from U.S. senators, congresspersons, governors, and community leaders. As an expert in capital markets, big data, AI/machine learning, and other technologies. He was with Freddie Mac and PricewaterhouseCoopers for about 15 years. Concurrently, I actively served on committees of the Fairfax County Public School System (FCPSS) of VA, one of the most populous school districts in the U.S, focusing on student performance assessment and advanced academic learning for years.
