Experience
Acoustics Engineer
May 2005 — Present · Quad Cities, IL, US
Acoustical and Electrical design experience on healthcare, education, commericial, government, athletic, and performing arts projects. With my electrical engineering background, I apply my knowledge of architectural lighting design, electrical power distribution, emergency power system design, and fire alarm system design to enhance my acoustics role on the design team. I happily collaborate with the entire design team to identify and isolate noise and vibration sources, determine optimal architectural acoustics finishes, design voice notification systems, and provide acoustical testing. I am experienced with design considerations for, and post-construction testing in compliance with ANSI/ASA S12••••10, LEED for Schools, NFPA 72, DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (including UFC 4-021-01 and 4-010-01), NAVFAC Engineering Criteria, ASHRAE Special Applications Chapter 47, FGI Healthcare Design Guidelines, Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS), and GSA Facilities Standards for Public Building Service.
