ABOUT RICHARD TOMLIN

I didn’t start my career in a boardroom; I started on the front lines of Leisure and Recreation, where leading people, driving performance, and keeping customers happy wasn’t optional, it was survival. Over two decades in that environment taught me how to lead teams under pressure, motivate people to perform at their best, and deliver results that kept both clients and customers coming back.When I transitioned into Project Management, I carried that people-first mindset with me. For more than a decade, I’ve been leading ICT and Business Change initiatives inside a major Business Process Outsourcing and Support Services organisation. The challenges were complex—multi-stakeholder environments, high-value contracts, and projects where small missteps had big consequences. But my focus never changed: build trust, keep clarity, and deliver outcomes that drive real operational and strategic value.That mindset became even more important when I stepped into the world of SPV and PFI project and contract management. For the last four years, I’ve navigated the unique dynamics of public-private partnerships and long-term service delivery frameworks—spaces where credibility, precision, and relationships make all the difference.Looking back, the common thread through every role has been this: I translate big objectives into practical, measurable outcomes while building strong relationships along the way. My teams know I’ll back them, my stakeholders know I’ll be transparent, and my clients know I’ll deliver.
