ABOUT RICHARD TOLENTINO

I’m a builder of teams, systems/processes, and culture.In 2010, I founded the Application Access Control Group (AACG) with the belief that technical skills could be taught—but the right mindset, adaptability/resiliency, and potential were what truly mattered in a team member. I hired based on capability and integrity, not just experience, and focused on creating an environment where people felt included, challenged, and positioned to succeed and grow.Since then, many of those individuals have advanced significantly in their own careers. Beyond AACG, I have continued mentoring people from other teams that I have led or supported, and I take pride in seeing them flourish—whether through formal coaching or simply being someone they could trust and learn from. I, too, have been inspired and matured from these interactions. What stands out to me isn’t just the upward movement, but the lasting connections. When someone celebrates a milestone, it often becomes a reunion. That tells me we built something deeper than just teams/systems/processes—we built a culture rooted in trust, growth, and a shared purpose.I never asked for credit. I have only ever asked for one thing: pay it forward. Be the catalyst for someone else, the same way someone once took a chance on you. That’s how we build a culture of legacies that outlast roles and job titles.
