ABOUT RICHARD HUANG

Dr. Huang is a triple-board-certified physician executive with extensive clinical expertise in the fields of molecular genetic pathology, anatomic pathology, and laboratory medicine. In addition, Dr. Huang is an industry veteran with in-depth experience in clinical development, real world evidence, medical affairs, product development, medical information, and clinical operations. Also, he is an expert in diagnostics with over 250 peer-reviewed publications (100+ with features in high impact journals such as Cancer Cell, JITC, JAMA Oncology)/abstracts(140+ at conferences such as USCAP, AMP, ASCO, and ESMO) and 11 patents filed. He has a strong passion for delivering the right diagnostic to the right patient.Currently, he serves as the Global Medical Lead at Foundation Medicine. Previously, he served multiple roles within the Roche organization including ad interim Senior Director of Pathology and Diagnostic Medicine, Senior Molecular and Anatomic Pathologist & Associate Medical Director, ad interim Medical Director of the Companion Diagnostics CAP CLIA Laboratory, and Staff Pathologist (Companion Diagnostics). Dr. Huang is also active in national organizations, having served on the CAP Genomic Medicine Committee/Council on Accreditation as a committee member and ASCP LabQ Editorial Board as a medical advisor.Prior to Roche, he practiced pathology at the Texas Medical Center in Houston where he published numerous peer reviewed articles as well as a review book in pathology.
