ABOUT RICHARD SMITH

I\'m a project manager with over 30 years’ experience in leading, directing and managing an array of different schemes from concept and feasibility through to commission and hand back. Managing minor schemes to major complex multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects within the rail industry. I have extensive experienced in all the Network Rail GRIP and more recently PACE stages 1 – 8. Compliance to CDM standards and HSQE alongside a track record of delivering projects to client’s specification, budgets and programme deadlines. I’m natural leader and mentor of others and an ability to build relationships, trust and engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. I have an organised approach to developing project and business plans with an understanding of change, risk and contingency. I\'ve been working in the Rail Industry since 1992 and able to combine my experience and the knowledge built up over the years to best use and understand how rail, transportation and specifically Signalling projects are delivered. I\'m also a long standing member of the Association of Project Managers (APM) and the Institute of Railway Signalling Engineers (IRSE).
