Serve as member of Carnegie National Faculty for Networked Improvement Sciences. Co-lead the teaching of blended synchronous-asynchronous networked improvement science basics courses and co-deliver Carnegie “Explorers Workshops” to school, district, and state education agency leaders and nonprofit leaders. Build knowledge, skills, and dispositions to efficaciously use improvement science principles and tools to address and accelerate improvements in student, organizational, and community outcomes. • Coached educators and state and federal program administrators in one California County Office of Education to use the improvement science framework and tools across multiple issues and contexts, including early childhood education, migrant education, alternative education and court-associated education, and special education. • Coached nonprofit technical assistance providers and school administrators in a Northeast state charged with turning around the state’s lowest-performing schools. • Informal advisor and guest lecturer in the University of Hawai‘i’s doctor of education program on multiple facets of improvement science use for improvement, innovation, and systems change.• Co-designed- developed, and -delivered an introduction to improvement science course for agency- and school-level leaders in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Coached local trainer in a train-the-trainer model to continue delivery of the improvement science course. Delivered workshops and served as a plenary session panelist multiple years at the Sharjah International Summit on Improvement in Education.

ABOUT RICHARD SEDER
A nationally and internationally recognized education systems improvement leader with nearly three decades of experience strengthening schools, agencies, and cross-sector systems to achieve equitable, effective, and sustainable outcomes. My work integrates sense-making and strategy, evidence-based decision-making, improvement science, governance and policy design, and technical assistance and capacity building to help organizations move from intent to measurable impact.Across K-12, higher education, workforce, early childhood, and community-serving organizations, I\'ve partnered with school leaders, charter boards, state agencies, legislatures, non-profits, and international ministries to make sense of complex problems of practice, identifying enabling and constraining system conditions, and design coherent strategies for improvement. I am particularly skilled at aligning vision, policy, resources, and implmenentation through the disciplined used of data, research and analytics, and continuous improvement methods.I have directly shaped large-scale education systems and institutions, including having served as the principal architect of the State of Hawai‘i\'s federal Perkins V Career and Technical Education State Plan and as the strategic lead in securing over $10 million in federal Title funding for Native Hawaiian students across multiple University of Hawai‘i campuses. My work in Wyoming spans over two decades supporting constitutionally adequate education systems through policy analysis, funding system design, accountability, facilities planning, and expert testimony.At the school and organizational level, I have brought deep expertise in building the capacities of leaders and teams to improve their own systems across a multitude of contexts, including urban, rural, suburban, and international. As a National Faculty member with the Carnegie Foundation, I have coached school, district, state, and nonprofit leaders to apply improvement science frameworks, methods, and tools.I bring strong governance and fiduciary perspectives as Vice Chair of the DreamHouse ‘Ewa Beach Public Charter School Board and Vice Chair of the Hawai‘i Commission for National and Community Service supporting strategic oversight, accountability, and resource alignment while maintaining a clear focus on mission and results.Throughout, I have been recognized as a trusted thought partner who bridges evidence, policy, and practice combining technical rigor with relational leadership to help schools and systems to improve well, at scale, and sustain improvement over time.
