In my capacity as Grand Secretary, I oversee the operations of the Grand Lodge of New York, F. & A.M. ABOUT RICHARD SCHULZ
I was elected Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of New York F. & A.M. at our 237th Annual Communication held on May 7-8, 2018 in New York City. I am a Mason with over 30 years in the Craft. I am a Past District Deputy Grand Master and Past Chairman of the Grand Lodge Convention Committee. I am a Senior DeMolay and a member of the Legion of Honor (Active). I am of member of several Concordant Bodies, including the Scottish and York Rites, as well as being a Shriner. I am a proven leader and manager with a diverse insurance background, having worked for Insurance Services Office (ISO) for almost 40 years before retiring in June 2018. My insurance background includes working in the Actuarial Department in various roles, including ratemaking, research, contract & project management, and data management. In the later stages of my insurance career, I was the Director of Statistical Data Management, responsible for data collection, data compliance and data enhancement activities. I have a number of insurance designations including: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Data Manager (CIDM), Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF), Associate in Regulation and Compliance (ARC), Associate in Information Technology (AIT), Associate in Insurance Services (AIS), Associate in Risk Management (ARM, ARM-E and ARM-P) and Student of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).
