ABOUT RICHARD SALVAGE

As Cranfield University\'s Entrepreneur of the Year 2012, I have a record of building businesses that deliver growth and value. I founded Shield Medicare in 1989 and grew the company to be the market leader in the sterile manufacture of single-use surgical supplies and sterile biocides using my skills as a biomedical engineer. In 2006, I sold the company to US conglomerate Ecolab and turned my attention to a new business - the Medsa Group. The Medsa Group encompasses a number of exceptional companies, one of which is Maxstim. Maxstim designs, develops and markets plant biostimulants globally for sport surfaces and agriculture. We stand apart from others in the industry because of our focus: our biostimulants are precisely formulated to achieve targeted results on a wide variety of plants. Maxstim biostimulants contain the bioflavonoids, essential proteins and trace elements key to maximising the plant\'s ability to survive and thrive. I enjoy working with businesses that demonstrate drive and passion and I believe that people make a difference to business success.
