ABOUT RICHARD ORMEROD

A highly experienced professional with extensive IT and Aviation knowledge gained from a 33 year career with easyJet and British Airways/International Airlines Group (IAG).My latest position is Interim Director of Architecture & IT Risk for easyJet with accountability for all flavours of architecture and oversight of our IT Risk function. This is achieved by working with brilliant colleagues throughout the easyJet organization.Other positions held have included Head of Enterprise Architecture for easyJet and British Airways, Principal Enterprise Architect for Airline Operations, Business/Technology Manager for Flight Operations, Design Manager/Design Authority, Portfolio Manager, Senior Project Manager and Software Engineer. I have extensive IT experience supplemented by aviation knowledge in the Commercial, Customer, Engineering, Operations, HR and Safety areas. I am also TOGAF 9.1 certified.I also have strong knowledge of aviation suppliers and their products having worked with Airbus, Amadeus, Boeing, IMI, Jeppesen, IBS, Lufthansa Systems, Panasonic, Sabre, Thales and many others. Personal qualities include the ability to- set direction, motivate and lead teams (directly and indirectly)- develop strong and lasting relationships at all levels including Cxx stakeholders- work strategically but also get into detail if necessary- provide total flexibility and commitment to ensure I deliver on promises made- ensure high quality in everything I doI have regularly undertaken assignments and influenced/presented to senior stakeholders up to and including CEO\'s, CIO, Director level.
