Leveraging 20 years in the IT Industry with over 12 of them focusing on Data Protection I am able to confidently provide proficient solutions in a diverse and ever-expanding world of technology. I am currently focusing all my efforts on InfoSec and Privilege Access Security utilizing CyberArk.I have an extensive background in the administration and engineering of numerous data protection technologies including Rubrik, EMC Avamar, EMC Data Domain, Simpana CommVault, and Veritas Netbackup.I am highly skilled in Infrastructure products like VMWare, Nutanix and Hyper- V. I am proficient in Layer 1-3 networking. A deep understanding of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS cloud solutions. A skilled professional in AWS, understanding VPC, S3 and EC2, cloud formation technology and IAM identity management. Working on learning more about Azure and GPC, but have worked heavily with Azure blob storage, Azure VM and currently learning Azure AD. While for most of my career I have specialized in Disaster Recovery using synchronous, asynchronous and periodic replication as well as best practice implementation in a multitude of environments. I am quickly becoming an expert in the InfoSec realm, while I currently seek my Certified Ethical Hacker, and obtain my CyberArk (leading innovator in the PAS space) certifications. Since focusing on InfoSec I have learned the importance of proactively preventing data leakage and system compromise, rather than that reactive nature of restoration. Backups will always be important but mitigating risk and avoiding the issue entirely is priceless. Familiar with PCI DSS, CIS, Sarbanes Oxoley, HIPPA, NERC, FERC and ISO27001 compliance standards.
