In this role I collaborate with key stakeholders to engage audiences across NY and increase active participation within the Park. My primary responsibilities include:Strategic Visioning:I design and implement a comprehensive Education, Public Programs and Community Engagement strategy that fosters meaningful connections and amplifies our reach. I integrate this strategy into all public-facing programs and events, ensuring consistent messaging and impact.Programming Implementation:Lead the planning and execution of a robust calendar of public programs and/or events. I collaborate with diverse stakeholders to create thought-provoking/creative artist-led community experiences. I am responsible for all operational aspects of Socrates\' programs and events, including Event Operations, logistics, budgeting, vendor management and internal coordination with Staff. I manage our consultants, as necessary, to secure qualified support staff (volunteers) for program and event execution. Communications Coordination:I collaborate with Socrates\' Communications consultants to develop content that resonates with various audiences for promoting the Park and events. Develop copy/edit photo content as well as manage our Social Media account(s). Relationship Building:I cultivate and strengthen relationships with key community stakeholders, including elected officials, local community-based organizations, schools, donors, visitors, alumni, and other groups. I foster dialogue and collaboration to bring people into the Park and to build strategic/lasting partnerships (including: workshops, internship programs, workforce development to name a few).Fundraising Support:I work with the Advancement team to identify fundraising opportunities for future programs in the Park. I assist with grant writing that raises awareness of our programs. Work with our Executive/Advancement team to build/strengthen relationships with current supporters while identifying prospective supporters.
