My healthy aging career is multifaceted: a research services professional job at the CU Anschutz Medical Center in the Department of Neurology focused on finding answers to why some older adults get dementia and what are the contributing factors that could slow or prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia; an Older Adult Research Specialist (OARS) role with the CU Multidisciplinary Center on Aging (MCoA) promoting more older adult participation in clinical trials; and serving in a civic role on the Governor’s Colorado Commission on Aging (CCOA) as the transportation representative with a keen interest in fostering more age friendly communities across Colorado.
