My responsibilities within this role include Team leadership and coaching a small but dedicated team of Project Managers, Industrial Designers & Mechanical Engineers, as well as fulfilling my duties as a senior project manager. In addition, I drive the product direction and strategy for several Global Key complex projects. Working collaboratively with Design researchers, End Users, in-house design teams, Far East Manufacturers, marketing, and commercials teams, I lead and own product specifications and designs to ensure manufacturing, materials, quality standards and design goals are realised on time & on cost. Some of my responsibilities include the following:• Providing Team leadership, Coaching and Mentoring a multi-disciplinary team of Project managers, Industrial designers & mechanical engineers. • Holding regular meaningful 1-2-1s with team members.• Creating personnel career development plans for individual team members.• Motivating team members to accomplish their goals• Nurturing team member strengths and identifying areas for improvement• Representing and advocating for teams’ needs.• Identifying Insights• Problem-Solving• Project Leadership• Project managing and supporting a multi-disciplined team.• Project & Critical Path Management • Creating & Managing Technical documents.• Risk management• Creating & Implementing project briefs• Managing multiple project Budgets • Organising and Leading End user group sessions • Supplier Liaison from Initial Tender bidding right through to mass manufacture.• Managing Supplier Production Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers • Managing & Implementing cost saving initiatives
