ABOUT RICHARD LOBO
Seasoned private equity professional with 30+ years of experience in making control equity investments in middle-market businesses. Beginning in 1993, I was a core member of the investment team at CHS Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused exclusively on investing in middle-market businesses. As a Partner, member of the Investment Committee, and co-head of our investing efforts in the Services sector, I was active in all aspects of principal investing from investment origination, to the creation and implementation of strategic growth plans, to maximizing equity value through successful exits. Over 20 years and across five funds, my partners and I successfully invested $2.9 billion of equity capital.Since relocating to Southern California I formed Muirlands Capital to explore opportunities to invest in lower middle-market, growth-oriented businesses across industry sectors. To date, we have invested in three platforms companies alongside our institutional debt and equity partners.In addition to my professional endeavors, I also enjoy my work with various charitable organizations. Through the Sarcoma Research Foundation, a charity which I founded in 2007, I have raised over $1 million to support cancer research. I also served as the Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee of Boys Hope Girls Hope of Illinois, which provides housing and academic scholarship through college to academically capable children from troubled family environments.I hold an B.S. degree in Finance from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University\'s Kellogg School of Management.
