Since 2014, I have taken a different route, away from the law, into the field of data protection I have gained significant experience in dealing with requests under Freedom of Information Act and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. Consideration of responses, including appropriate exemptions, including third party data and personal data, considering the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation. Requests are made to the council for personal data under the Data Protection Act 2018. Using my long experience of investigating insurance claims, described below, I have assisted with investigating breaches of data security, providing reports on breaches, including risk management advice on avoiding future breaches.
