I have been working at Shire Leasing plc since April 2007. My first stint with the company I worked Telesales for some of the top-performing Account Managers in the business. This portion of my employment with Shire was used as a means to fund my through my History degree with The Open University. I worked full time and studied alongside that until I gained my degree in 2013. I left to pursue a career in Education, but the best laid plans of mice and men and all that resulted in the company I ended up working for being bought out. Job security instantly fell through the floor, so I picked up the phone to Shire. I returned to the company in November 2015 and have been here ever since.I confess, my first go around with Shire was just a job, but when I cam back I wanted a career. Over the past decade I have forged that through going from the original position I came back to of Executive Telesales to fully-fledged Account Manager. For the first year and a half I solely ran Direct Sales, focusing on non-existing business. Then, in the autumn of 2017 I took on a portion of the South London existing customer region, switching in February 2020 to North London and the Home Counties. Over this time I have established and maintained strong relationships with many clients from all sectors. My role has taken me all over the country and always provides a challenge and something interesting. I support my clients with whatever they need, be it asset finance, vehicle funding or many variants of cash-based lending. The products that Shire offer are impressive and wide-reaching, but the old adage that people buy from people has never rang truer to me than in this role.
