ABOUT RICHARD JAMES

Richard is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager (CWEM) who is highly skilled in the management and delivery of multi-disciplinary FCERM scheme appraisal projects. This includes the production of the ‘Five Case’ Business Model for public spending proposals. Richard has extensive experience supporting risk management authorities in the delivery of these projects and managing delivery risks at each stage in the appraisal process, beginning with an Initial Assessment, through Strategic Outline Case, Outline Business Case and to Full Business Case.Richard has been a team leader, technical lead and project manager on a number of flood risk, hydraulic modelling and strategic feasibility studies for both public and private sector clients. Richard has a strong track record of successful project delivery and, as a result, has developed collaborative working relationships with risk management authority clients within the water industry. He has a keen interest in the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects and enjoys taking a strategic view of the wider context and balancing the objectives of different disciplines and stakeholders. Richard’s technical background is in hydraulic and hydrological flood modelling. Richard is also a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) and a Chartered Scientist (CSci).
