The Global Aging Institute (GAI), which I founded in May 2014, is a nonprofit research and educational organization dedicated to raising awareness of the economic, social, and geopolitical challenges posed by demographic change, and especially population aging, in the United States and around the world. Prior to founding GAI, I was a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. I am the author or co-author of numerous policy studies, have spoken on aging-related issues at dozens of conferences in Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the United States, and am widely quoted in the international media.
