I defend complex white-collar and regulatory matters, drawing on 25+ years of experience at DOJ (AUSA/Trial Attorney) in Washington, D.C. and Miami and SEC (Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel/Senior Trial Counsel) in New York and DC. Since entering private practice in December 2022, I have been frequently retained as lead or special counsel for significant SEC enforcement matters and difficult federal trials. I have represented public and private companies and individuals. Recent wins include successful lead defense in the DEBT Box cryptocurrency matter (SEC case dismissed; SEC sanctioned, all in 2024); securing deferred prosecution in a DOJ securities fraud-related matter in 2025 (resulting in dismissal of a criminal complaint filed in SDNY and avoiding client deportation); and persuading SEC to close an investigation of a fintech company in approximately 6 months (2026).Trial and appellate record: 43 federal criminal and civil cases tried (41 to jury) nationwide, including securities fraud, money laundering, bank fraud, and environmental matters.
