I lead the public policy team at Lloyd’s of London. I am responsible for developing and advocating for Lloyd’s positions on key government and regulatory policy files, whether related to prudential regulation (Solvency II; recovery and resolution; operational resilience), conduct regulation (Consumer Duty, competition) or wider government policy (international trade and investment, business mobility, sustainability, corporate governance, tech and AI policy). I engage with policymakers in the UK and internationally, whether at global standard setter level or in the US and the EU, to secure support for Lloyd’s positions on developing and emerging policy issues.

I am a policy and public affairs professional with ten years’ experience advising financial institutions and FinTechs on how to advocate for policies and regulations that will enable delivery of their commercial strategies. I advise firms on which policies can best help them achieve their commercial objectives, whether those policies be related to prudential and conduct regulation, or data, AI, competition, trade, investment, business mobility, sustainability, or IP. I develop public affairs strategies to advocate for potential policies in the UK and internationally and regularly engage with officials, regulators, politicians and other policy influencers. I am a non-practising barrister (called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn) with an MSc in Global Development, and I currently lead the policy team at Lloyd’s of London.
