ABOUT RICHARD HABBERSHAW

With over twenty five years of IT experience gained in the financial sector, I have worked many years as both a systems analyst and programmer writing and developing program specifications, data extracts and supporting users in the live environment. I have strong technical skills and excellent interpersonal skills to assist with gathering requirements from key business stakeholders and other analysis tasks. My eye for detail means I specialize in problem solving, and I have sound unit testing experience. Currently managing a team of underwriters within a Credit Risk function to support lending decisions using credit bureau data in a holistic approach in tandem with an internal behavioural scoring system. with the team responsible for 10-25% of sales on a monthly basis. Also responsible for an under graduate MI developer developing in house MI Developed our in house potential lending report using behavioural scoring, SQL, SSMS and SSIS Gathering requirements from key stakeholders to perform data analysis using SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, stored procedures and Excel. Responsible for data sharing with Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs) via SHARE. Recent work saw me integrate Power BI & Google API tools to create geo-mapped MI solutions, utilising in house data, to gain new insights and help grow the business. Previous experience includes Cognos Powerplay, Tableau, Informix, UNIX, RPG/400 and SB+.
