Hey there! I\'m a financial and accounting wizard with over 10 years of executive management experience under my belt. I\'ve been around the block a few times, working as an institutional trader of fixed income securities, a portfolio manager at one of the largest private REITs in the US, and even playing a key role in the Governor\'s Office efforts to balance Arizona\'s budget during the Great Recession.Currently, I\'m the Director of Finance and Operations at the Maricopa County Recorder and Elections Department, where I oversee all things procurement, budgeting, payroll, grant administration, accounts receivable, and accounting-related activities. The Recorder\'s Office generates a whopping $40 million from the recordation of over a million records a year, and the combined budgets of the departments average around $35 million annually.I\'m well-versed in GASB and GAAP accounting rules and regulations, and have written over 30 policies and procedures during my time at the county.
