I entered the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) as part of a year long fellowship with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). As the DOE fellow I have been assigned to NJBPU\'s Office of Federal and Regional Policy to serve as a Policy Specialist that focuses on research and analysis of federal and regional energy policies and New Jersey\'s compliance with them. Responsibilities include monitoring developments on the Federal Energy Regulatory (FERC)\'s Order identifying barriers impacting distributed energy resources (i.e, solar installations) inclusion into energy markets, working with New Jersey stakeholders, and helping NJBPU on other projects related to offshore wind interconnections to the power grid.
