ABOUT RICHARD FLOYD

Confident, pro-active and professional, I am a hard-working individual committed to providing the highest possible standard of work. A true convert to Revit and also highly proficient in AutoCAD and ArchiCAD, I am used to fast-paced work in a busy environment. Whether designing, detailing or consulting directly with clients, my representation of the company is second to none.Key Skills and Achievements:I have a wide variety of experiences in different areas of business from Sales to Admin, Accountancy to Design. Firmly living in the real world I use my life experience in making key judgements and pre-empting potential issues. Within my career in Architecture I have worked on a wide range of schemes ranging from small residential kitchen extensions to whole housing estate refurbishments, both new-build and remodelling of luxury private residences, new-build leisure centres, health centres and assisted living apartments, also designing industrial warehouses, offices, storage units, large retail outlets and schools. I am used to working to BIM level 2 and produce different levels of information from planning drawings through to bespoke technical details from the 3D models I produce.Award Winning Design:WINNER – Specifi Manchester PROJECT OF THE YEAR AWARD 2020Alderley Park Leisure Centre, a new-build Leisure Centre scheme in which I was the technical lead throughout the planning, tender and construction stages was shortlisted alongside schemes by Ian Simpson & Roger Stevenson OBE.At university I won the Design Award for a Flat Pack House. This small house was built full scale and stood for 4 months before being dismantled. In practice, a scheme in which I was instrumental won the top prize in the National 2011 UK Housing Design Awards.Team Player/Team Leader:A keen team player, I\'m never one to let the side down. I thrive on additional responsibilities and team leadership and see the tight deadlines of my current position as a challenge to be beaten.
