ABOUT RICHARD F.

As the Immigration and Compliance Manager at Caring Homes, I lead a growing in-house immigration function that oversees more than 420 sponsored Skilled Worker visa holders and 1,500 employees requiring right-to-work checks across the UK — including the Isle of Man.I’ve built our compliance infrastructure from the ground up: authoring immigration handbooks, centralising document tracking, training care home management teams, recruiters, Learning & Development & HR on immigration matters and preparing for — and passing — a Home Office audit with no remedial actions. My role spans the full sponsor licence lifecycle: issuing and renewing CoS, tracking visa expiry dates, conducting file audits, and responding to UKVI requests across Skilled Worker, Dependent, Graduate, and Student routes.I deliver in-person and virtual training sessions, speak on immigration webinars, and have been instrumental in building our reputation with regulators like the GLAA. I’m proud to be the go-to expert for internal teams and external partners navigating sponsorship duties and compliance.I’m now looking to expand my impact — bringing this experience into new sectors or more senior roles, particularly in healthcare, higher education, local government, or global mobility.Currently working towards OISC Level 1 accreditation, I’m committed to staying ahead of immigration policy and ensuring ethical, compliant, and effective recruitment practices across every part of the business.
