Coordinates programming, marketing, sponsorships, and volunteers for The Blue Ridge Music Center. The Blue Ridge Music Center is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway just north of Mt. Airy, NC and just south of Galax, VA. The Music Center features a 2,500 seat outdoor amphitheater, hiking trails, a 125 seat indoor studio theatre, and an interactive museum exhibition that highlights the musical history, traditions, notable musicians, musical families, and regional styles of the music of the Blue Ridge Region; the birthplace of a truly wonderful strain of American old time, bluegrass, and country blues music that originated there and historically has had a wide influence upon current and more contemporary forms of roots and Americana music.The Music Center is a major venue partner of both The Crooked Road: Virginia\'s Heritage Music Trails and The Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina.
