I am excited to announce that I started teaching classes at KFUPM August 24, 2024. In the Fall semester, I am teaching two sections of MEBs and one section of undergraduate Thermo. Teaching MEBs is new for me, but there is a lot of overlap with Thermo and physical properties and Perry\'s Handbook, so I wanted to explore that overlap for any synergies I might find. People often cringe when they hear about temperatures over 105 F every day, but I find it\'s remarkably like Akron in winter. It may sound counterintuitive, but my favorite hobby in both settings is to optimize a minimax problem: minimize the maximum interval between indoor travel spaces with long hallways. Otherwise, there are some cultural differences of course, but that is part of the adventure. For example, I am teaching the first class of female students to ever take chemical engineering thermodynamics in the history of Saudi Arabia! My dreams of living like a photon are finally coming true.
