Every day 448,869 kids in the Greater Washington area leave school with nowhere to go. The BCGCW has filled the all important gap between school and home for over 130 years. Currently, there are 12 sites covering a territory of 75 miles across DC, Maryland and Virginia. These locations serve as safe havens for our members. The clubs are open when schools are not, and provide a safe, comfortable, and fun alternative to youth who would otherwise be home alone or on the street. Creating a welcoming, fun, supportive and positive environment with life-changing programs.
