ABOUT RICHARD DEVERELL
Over the last 260 years, Kew has explored every corner of the world, gathering knowledge and information about plants and their habitats. We have curated and nurtured two of the world’s greatest gardens, home to some of the rarest and most endangered species of plants on Earth; and we have embarked on saving the world’s wild plant species by collecting their seeds – in case one day we need their unique attributes to cure disease or to sustain our planet. I’m extremely proud to be leading one of the world’s most prestigious botanical institutions, bringing together the beauty, science and philanthropy to help provide solutions for some of our most critical environmental challenges.
