WORK HISTORY
Technical Business Analyst @Syrenis
Warrington, GB
This is a hybrid role combining technical business analysis with a technical product owner role, owning the process from initial analysis through to delivery and launch.Because I spent 20 years as a developer, I have the background to help design the solution architecture. Lately, I’ve been learning how to take advantage of AI appropriately with making our workflow \"AI-friendly,\" using AI agents to help draft stories and providing.md files so the tools (and the team) can hit the ground running on code changes.Day to Day- Translate high-level stakeholder ideas into solid technical requirements and acceptance criteria that actually make sense to an engineer and also help AI code agents have a good first pass- Create mock-ups and prototypes with AI to help define requirements and aid refinement sessions- I own the feature from the first whiteboard session through to the final demo and handover to the customer facing teams- I run the refinement sessions and keep the backlog prioritized so the team always has the prerequisites they need to work at a sustainable pace- I’m methodical with my own acceptance testing—if I wouldn\'t ship it as a dev, I won\'t sign off on it as a PO.Example recent projects- New API Launch: Led the design and rollout of a new API, balancing multiple use cases and making sure the documentation was complete and relevant- Auth & Identity Upgrades: Managed complex updates to our authentication and SSO flows, ensuring we kept things backward compatible and providing clear migration paths- Updated One-click unsubscribe capabilities to make the system more robust and compliant.
