Joined Local 11 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Los Angeles in 1982 working for various local Electrical contractors in the Los Angeles County area. Started working for Mass Electric (MEC) a Kiewit Co. as a Foremen when MEC came out west from Boston to perform Signal & Comm. installation in 1989 on LAMETRO\'s Los Angeles to Long Beach Blueline Project which was the first Light Rail Transit (LRT) project in Los Angeles and have worked on either Signal, Communications, Overhead Catenary System (OCS) and/or Traction Power Systems on many of LAMETRO\'s rail transit projects in Los Angeles area since then.Between those jobs with MEC I have also worked on various Transit LRT, Commuter & Heavy Rail projects throughout the West Coast for the following Authorities: Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART/ Oakland), Valley Metro Rail (VMR/Phoenix), Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF/Yakima,Wa.), Port of Los Angeles (POLA), Port of Long Beach (POLB), North County Transportation District (NCTD/San Diego), Metropolitan Transportation System (MTS/San Diego), San Diego Associated Government’s (SANDAG/San Diego), North Coast Rail Authority (NCRA/Petaluma, Ca.), SCRRA/Metrolink (Los Angeles), Amtrak (San Jose, Ca.), Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority (ACTA/Los Angeles) as well as other misc. Authorities. My first 16 years with MEC was running field crews mainly as a GF and Superintendent before my first Project Manager opportunity in 2004 then ultimately becoming a Sponsor in 2009 which is my current position with MEC where I Sponsored the Foothill Gold Line Phase 2A extension, Metrolink Signal & Communications Maintenance and Metrolink MS260 Signal & Communications contract. Currently I am sponsoring our Foothill 2B Gold Line Extension from Azusa to Montclair and estimates and proposals for Transit Projects throughout the Southwest USA Area.
